Privacy

The short version

qNotify has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party SDKs. It talks to one server: yours. We do not receive your messages, and we could not read them if we wanted to — they never reach us.

What the app stores on your device

• The gateway address and the personal token your administrator gave you.
• The messages received, so the list survives a restart. They are pruned automatically: nothing older than 30 days, and at most 500 entries — except anything still waiting for someone, which is never discarded.
• Acknowledgments you have pressed but that have not reached the gateway yet, so a lost network delays them instead of losing them.

All of it lives inside the app’s own storage on your iPhone and Apple Watch. Removing the app removes all of it.

What leaves your device, and where it goes

Only to the gateway your administrator runs, at the address you entered:

• Acknowledgments — which message, whether you marked it read or took charge of it, and your name as your organisation issued it. This is the point of the product: the record on the IBM i says who.
• A device token from Apple, so the gateway can send push notifications to that device.

Push notifications travel through Apple’s infrastructure, as every iOS notification does. Apple’s handling of them is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.

What we receive

Nothing. MCGA operates no service that the app talks to. Your messages, your acknowledgments and your device tokens go to your organisation’s own gateway and stay there.

If you write to support@mcga.it we obviously receive that email, and whatever you choose to put in it. We keep support correspondence only as long as it is useful to the matter it concerns.

Who is responsible for the messages

The organisation running the IBM i decides what is sent, to whom, and how long the record is kept on their system. As the data controller for that content, they are the right people to ask about it. Where MCGA installs or maintains that infrastructure, we act on their instructions.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask your organisation for access to, correction of, or erasure of the data held about you on their systems — including the acknowledgment records. For anything concerning the app itself, or correspondence with us, write to support@mcga.it.

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. There is no account to notify, so this page is the record.
